Time to plant your 2016 spring garden!

“To plant a garden is to believe in Tomorrow” – Audrey HepburnThe best time of year is around the corner for us southern californians and I seriously can’t wait to start planting!!! This past weekend I spent too much time in the garden department picking out seeds and different plants to start growing in the yard! Its really important to surround yourself with some type of greenery in whatever environment you are in whether its at work or in your bedroom. It can seriously boost your daily endorphins and relieve stress.

Sometimes it can be hard to get the flower to grow from seed when you put them directly into the flower bed so they have created these awesome starter kits that allows you to start them in the house and then transfer them into the flower beds. If you are always on the go or don’t have time or a place to grow plants you should look into some succulents to grow. Succulents are slow growing plants that can survive in a drought or can be an indoor plant. I picked out some of those for the first time and I am going to transfer those in a raised box and see how it goes. Some of the other plants I picked out are Smoothie Zinnias, Giant Zinnias, Dahlias, Sunflowers, Cherry Tomatoes, Zucchini, Strawberries, Basil and Thyme and more! I even inspired my two sisters to plant something in their homes! So if they think I am a crazy old garden lady and STILL have managed to get inspired to plant something, I believe you can toooo! I cant wait to see how our 2016 spring gardens turn out!
