Cocktail hour is pretty cool for everyone involved if it’s planned correctly. For guests, as long as you have food, drinks, shade and somewhere to sit they will be happy. For the bride and groom, this is your opportunity to take photos with each other, with your family and bridal/wedding party during sunset time. When you plan your cocktail hour, check to see if you have to travel to your photo destination. If so, allow time for transportation. Extend your cocktail hour 20-25 minutes to make sure everything is documented perfectly.

If you take most of your photos before the ceremony, you can plan for a shorter cocktail hour and also join the guests for some more fun until your grand entrance!
